Whether we are stuck in a troubling pattern, struggling to cope with a loss, or unable to confront a problem head-on, psychotherapy can help. The momentum of modern life often limits our ability to make sense of ourselves and the world. Psychotherapy serves as a space to slow down and think and feel our way through issues in order to find easier ways of living.
As a licensed therapist I work with people experiencing symptoms across the spectrum of ‘mental disorder.’ But I take pride in my ability to see people both individually and holistically. I avoid pigeon-holing people’s experience into predetermined methods of treatment. That is to say: while the experience of anxiety is a universal part of being human, we all have a unique relationship to how we experience anxiety. The beauty of therapy is recognizing this contradiction and working together to resolve it.
If you or a loved one is interested in treatment for a specific condition, or just having trouble coping with the state of the world, please email me to schedule a free telephone consultation. I am licensed in California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia and am able to work with people in those states. If I am not the right fit for you, I will happily connect you with a trusted colleague.
